This article explains the steps needed to connect Afterword to Quickbooks and sync case data

In this article we'll show you how to connect your Afterword account to your Quickbooks online account. With our integration you will be able to sync a case directly to Quickbooks which automatically creates a customer, invoice and payments.

How to connect (Step-by-step)

  1. Open the menu in the top right corner

  2. Click on "All Settings"

  3. Click on the "Integrations" tab

  4. Click on "Connect Quickbooks", this will take you to the Quickbooks login page where it will ask you to log in and connect the Afterword app to your Quickbooks account.

  5. After signing in and granting access you will see a new screen that says "Please wait while we connect your Quickbooks Account". Wait for Afterword to connect the account.

  6. You should be redirected back to the integrations page. On this page you will need to select certain items from your Quickbooks account that you wish to use for the invoice line items, accounts, and tax rate. All of the options are populated from your Quickbooks account so they will look different from the screenshots. After selecting them, hit save to activate the Quickbooks integration. It should say "Configured". Now your Quickbooks integration is ready to use!

How to sync a case

  1. Select the case you want to sync from the cases table

  2. Click on the "Statements" section

  3. There should be an "Accounting" dropdown present. Refresh the browser window if you do not see the dropdown. Next, click "Sync Immediately" to start the sync. Check your Quickbooks account, the invoice should be created.
